Kathleen has been a student of holistic health care for over two decades. She studied herbalism and naturopathy, worked as a direct entry midwife, and then became a registered nurse over 20 years ago. She has worked as an obstetrical nurse, and childbirth, lactation and infant massage instructor, in addition to working in home and mental health nursing. Kathleen has taught many classes on aspects of complementary and alternative therapies in health care.

Kathleen is certified as a Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP) and has studied the art of medical intuition with Carol Ritberger, PhD. (www.ritberger.com)  Kathleen received her Master's degree in nursing from California States University, Chico and her Post-Master's certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Oregon Health and Sciences University. She is nationally certified as a nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She belongs to the American Holistic Nurses Association and is a member of their education committee.
